Con la ‘cuadratura del círculo’ solemos referirnos a algo imposible de alcanzar. Pero la expresión no se agota con un significado tan somero. Diego Lara encuentra en las letras, en la tipografía, el sentido más profundo de la geometría, pues gracias a un consenso social y una convención cultural del lenguaje, son líneas, son rayas, círculos, semicírculos, puntos… con un significado. La médula de la propuesta es la no-médula, el no-espacio, el vacío que queda en las letras, sus huecos, sus vanos, alrededor y en su configuración interna; el espacio donde cabe la sustancia euclidiana. Lo más complejo. Y lo más elemental.

With the 'squaring of the circle' we usually refer to something impossible to achieve. However, the expression is not exhausted with such a superficial meaning. Diego Lara finds in letters, in typography, the deepest meaning of geometry, because thanks to a social consensus and a cultural convention of language, they are lines, stripes, circles, semicircles, points... with a meaning. The  kernel of the proposal is the non-kernel the non-space, the void that remains in the letters, their holes, their openings, around and in their internal configuration; the space where the Euclidean substance fits. The most complex. And the most elementary.
